At this time - we have decided to close your account in the near future.
Unfortunately we can’t share the specific reason for closing your account. We regularly review and sometimes close accounts as part of our legal and regulatory responsibilities.
In order to return your balance to you, we will need you to link one of your other accounts in the Monzo app. To connect an account, go to the home page of your Monzo app and scroll down a bit until you see Add other accounts and follow those steps.
After you've connected the other account to Monzo, just let us know and we will initiate a transfer for the remaining balance to that account.
If for any reason you aren't able to connect an account in this way, please instead provide the following in this chat and we will initiate an ACH bank transfer to that account:
• The account and routing number of another bank account that you own
• A bank statement from this account to verify you are the account owner
If you do not connect an account or provide the requested details, your account will remain restricted and we will return the remaining balance to the appropriate governmental body, according to the specific timeline set by your local jurisdiction.
